“if someone shows you who they are believe them”
-Maya Angelou

When I first ran across this quote I ponder up down around and across.
One because I just like to absorb every possibility of what people are trying to say
And
Two because it was so striking, and right in your face. Like you cant escape it.
And
Three because the message the quote is trying to rely was bothering me,
because I was doing the same thing with that quote
that you would do with someone who showed who they were, but just didn’t want to see them for that
I just didn’t want this to be so true

But this quote is true time and time again.
So really if someone shows you who they are
Without a doubt believe them.

And I believe.

this is one of my favorites!! i actually was just thinking about that concept last night, as I was reflecting on the rooommates I've had here in Italy.

one of the girls said to me when we first met, with the most STANK look on her face "you kno, I just don't TRY to be anybody's friend. I just don't care, I'm just me."

and because I try to live by this quote, I never forgot what she said. And wouldn't you believe she was so damn right. I can't stand her. LOL!

See it ALWAYS true...
even though you didnt forget you probably still wanted to see for yourself.
why do we always wanna see for ourselves.
well at least me im so guilty of that.
but im getting better about it.

yea, I'm totally butting in the convo, but let me just say, etsy can be pretty damn lucrative...I know of some people living off that site. Just don't depend on etsy regulars for traffic. Push it like u been pushing it; myspace, this blog, word of mouth, etc.

Plus I think your stuff stands out well compared to alot of the artisans on there.

that was my 2 cents, I got the save the rest for phone bill now.

so totally true when you think about it. i think when we present ourselves to someone, the other person would like to believe that it is just an idea that we have of ourselves, when really, its the truth, for the most part. but i will say people aren't as mysterious as they think they are. they really aren't. thats just another way of not trying to categorize themselves, but really, they are just putting themselves in a box with other people who think they aren't in a box. make sense? lol

makes total sense kneesee..lol

yeah i can see through ppl immediately
i really dont like ppl who try to make themselves seem to have more than meets the eye

its usually the cover up for the nothing that you are...

but we have to love everyone, right..haha
